As a follow up to Charity Day I

total raised so far is now more than £4,000.

- Hole Sponsorship and other donations raised almost £1,500. We
have some very generous members. - The Golden Raffle, helped by some wonderful gifts, including
the very popular Tea for Two – £360. - Beautifully wrapped Hampers – £144.
- General Raffle – £197. I still have some unclaimed prizes!
- Tombola – £156. Any bottles left will be in the next raffle!!
- Sock Dip – £107. I hope the winners have worn them. Sadly, I
didn’t win any. - Auction – £320. Christine has yet to drink the wine, despite
many offers of help.
Once again, thank you to everyone for their generous

After the excitement of Charity Day it was down to some
serious golf. The 2015 Ladies’ Club
Championship was won by Virginia
Chan and the Angela Chatterton
Handicap Trophy was won by Angela
herself. This was amazingly a repeat of last year! We had a good turnout of
Ladies and some great scores.

The Jubilee Jug was
won by Denise Clinch and Jean Pierce. The Megan Bonner Par
3 Championship was won by Madeline
Fielder. This was played for the first time and proved to be a real test,
particularly the putting. Everyone enjoyed the competition and the scones and
cream afterwards.

The Solheim Cup v Mill Green, played at Chesfield on Friday 18th
September, is sure to be a fantastic day so please come and support our team

Jo Wilson and her son Jack are organising a 9 hole
competition to raise money for Prostate Cancer on Saturday 19th
September. All are welcome. Thursday 24th September is the Autumn Meeting when we play for the Chris Leary Chalice. This will
be a non-qualifying competition.

Captains’ Day and Evening takes place on Saturday 26th
September. I hope as many of you
as possible will come and support this. It should be a fantastic day, with golf
in the morning and a three course meal and dancing to Ever Gold, an Abba
tribute band, in the evening.
