Unfortunately, we were thwarted by the weather today. Both the Ladies’ and Senior Men’s teams turned out to play each other at matchplay but in light of the torrential rain there was a unanimous decision to call it off and settle for an honourable draw. Once the result was agreed, we all settled down to drinking coffee and socialising, which was a very enjoyable way to spend the morning. The teams will meet next on Wednesday 14th August to battle it out formally for the prized Palmer Cup. May the best team win!!!
