The Ladies Section team played their 4th round match of the Mail on Sunday National Golf Club Classic. The match was played at home against John O’Gaunt (with their caddies in tow). It was closely contested and was settled with the last putt on the 18th hole in the final game. Unfortunately, we eventually lost 3-2 overall thereby going out of the competition.
Nonetheless, our 2014 campaign had some great highlights including reaching the 3rd round for the first time and an unexpected but emphatic 4-1 away win at Knebworth. The Ladies who played this year were Julie Price, Kathy Dale, Lauren Pitcher, Virginia Chan, Pauline Harrison, Sarah Faircliff, and Marica Kelland. Many thanks to Julie for captaining the team and handling the logistics of organising our matches.
